Sales
I joined Pacwell about 3 years ago. Until then I was working at a paper company, and I already had a relationship with Pacwell since then. The image I had of Pacwell at the time was "a company where employees work with passion and with a family atmosphere". That impression I had then has not changed after I joined the company.
My current job is to respond to customer orders at the Sales department and to promote our company’s own technology. At Pacwell, one salesman takes charge of one product from the order acceptance to the delivery, so I feel pressure of completely being charge on my own, given the broad discretion, but I also feel that very challenging.
"Maximize the value of the customer’s product"
That is the role of the package.
Even the simple "box" differs in its property greatly, by its shape, paper quality, the glue used and printing method, etc.
The highlight of Sales work is to offer beautiful and high quality products in a limited budget. It's also appealing but difficult part of this job to find the best package for the product which will become the content of the package. Therefore, we repeatedly self-question "What kind of package will fit this product?" to find the best package for the content.
When I actually see the finished package at the stores, it seems like I’m seeing my own child, and I am impressed.
Now it is my third year in Packwell. Until a while ago, I was too busy just getting the ordered products delivered. However, now I became capable to deal with the work ahead.
For example, even with one proposal, like saying "This specification may be difficult in this budget, but it may be possible in the next project", I became capable giving presentations which are more conscious of the customers. The goal for the future is to deepen the knowledge of the package and to be able to make proposals that the customer did not even think of. Therefore, we are now trying to have a broad perspective, by purchasing and studying packages we find interesting.
The world of package looks simple but deep. I would like to work with ambition and plwasure.
